Hãng Seiko đã áp dụng nhiều loại vật liệu khác nhau cho vỏ đồng hồ, số lượng vật liệu đã được mở rộng đáng kể từ cuối những năm 70 và 80, với một loạt những loại vật liệu khác nhau đã được sử dụng để tận dụng những đặc tính cụ thể của chúng. Những loại vật liệu này được ghi chi tiết trong danh mục sản phẩm và thường được khắc lên chính bộ vỏ đó.

Danh sách tra cứu bên dưới đây ban đầu được lấy từ bảng thống kê đại lý Seiko JDM năm 1991, và đã được bổ sung thêm. Những chữ viết tắt ở đây thường được dập trên vỏ đồng hồ.
